Skill Sessions
Our Skill Session packages are designed for dogs that already have a foundation, whether through one of our programs or previous training, and need focused work on a specific behavior. Each package follows a structure, criteria-based progression with clear outcomes, homework between sessions, and a trainer-led approach.
Skill Sessions are available in Starter (4 sessions) and Complete (8sessions) formats. Clients can start with a Starter package and upgrade to a Complete by paying the difference.

Recall
Teach your dog to come when called - reliably, even around distractions. Builds from name recognition in a quiet environment to real-world recall with distance, distractions, an competing interests.
Starter: 4 Sessions | Complete 8 Sessions

Leave It
Teach your dog to disengage from something they want - food on the ground, items on the counter, things on the sidewalk. Build from a closed fist exercise to real-world environmental lead it.

Settle/Place
Teach your dog to go to a mat and settle voluntarily. Builds from station introduction to settling in public environments with a send from distance and release on cue.

Greeting Manners
Teach your dog to greet people calmly with four on the floor, no jumping, and no rushing the door. Covers known guests, household entry, and outdoor stranger greetings. Includes a household briefing protocol so everyone in the home is consistent.

Crate Training
Teach your dog to enter the crate voluntarily and remain calm while you leave. Builds from voluntary entry to the handler leaving the house. Includes a structured duration ladder for building to 4 to 6 hours. Separation anxiety screening is conducted in Session 1. If your dog shows signs of distress beyond normal crate adjustment, we will recommend the appropriate program before continuing.

Body Handling
Teach your dog to accept grooming, vet handling, and body manipulation calmly using a cooperative care approach. Covers touch progression, tool introduction, nail clips, ear, and mouth checks, harness on and off, novel handler interaction and a simulated vet exam.

Working Breed Owners
Skill Sessions are especially valuable for working breed owners who have completed a core program and want to continue building their dog’s real-world reliability. Recall and Leave It in particular are critical for high prey drive dogs that fixate on movement, chase wildlife, or struggle to disengage from environmental triggers.
