Structured Training. Real Results. On Purpose.

Trainer-led programs for puppies, leash training, and fear and anxiety rehabilitation in Culver City and greater Los Angeles.

The Right Program For Your Dog

Every dog enters through a consultation. We assess your dog and recommend the right starting point — so nothing is rushed, guessed, or wasted.

Purposeful Puppy Foundations

For puppy owners who want calm dogs.

4-week, trainer-led program that installs the foundational skills so your puppy develops a working learning system that makes everything easier.

Not Sure Where Your Dog Fits?

That’s normal. Most dogs don’t fall neatly into one category.

A consultation helps determine the right starting point so we don’t rush, guess, or waste your time.

How Training Works

Every dog and every household is different.

That’s why training at On Purpose Dog Training follows a clear, intentional process designed to create lasting results.

Step 1: Consultation & Placement

We start with a consultation to understand your dog’s age, temperament, and emotional state, your goals and lifestyle, and what’s actually driving the behavior. From there, we place your dog into the right program based on their needs.

Step 4: Progression

Dogs progress when skills are fluent, emotional responses are stable, and the environment matches the dog’s ability. We never rush, test, or “see how it goes.” When your dog is ready, we move forward. If not, we slow down — on purpose.

The consultation helps determine the best path forward.

Step 2: Trainer-Led Sessions

All programs are trainer-led. We do the hands-on training while your dog learns calmly and clearly. At the end of each session, you receive a structured handoff so you know exactly how to support progress at home.

Step 3: Homework & Support

After each session you receive simple, realistic homework assignments, video clips and written guidance, and access to a shared Google Drive folder with resources specific to your dog.

Why On Purpose Dog Training

Most dog training focuses on commands. We focus on calm, clarity, and real-life behavior.

What That Means For You

  • No force, fear, or shortcuts

Training is positive, choice based and centered on your dog’s emotional state, not suppression.

  • Calm comes before control

A dog that can regulate themselves learns faster, behaves better, and stays reliable long-term

  • Structure over chaos

Clear routines, predictable patterns, and purposeful sessions, not random tips or one off fixes.

  • Programs, not patchwork sessions

Dogs improve through progression, not isolated lessons. Every program follows a clear developmental path.

  • Designed for real life

Busy homes. Kids. Apartments. Walks around other dogs. This isn’t “perfect world” training.
